One of our breakouts at Drive 2010 is titled “Partnering With Parents.” In this video, Billy Phenix shares a preview of what this session is all about and discussed our belief that what happens at home is really more important than what happens at church. At Drive, Billy will talk about the roles of the parents and the church in the spiritual development of our children, and what that looks like in our ministry environments.
What obstacles can the church create in the spiritual development of our children?

Yesterday our staff had the honor of spending time with a great leader, a leader who has spent his life “taking it off-road.” We were honored to hear from Andrew Young, Jr. He was a friend and aide to Martin Luther King, Jr. during the civil rights movement, the first black congressman, mayor of Atlanta for two terms, and a U.S. ambassador. Mr. Young was brought up to believe that “from those to whom much has been given, much will be required.” He accepted that responsibility from a young age and lived his life following that principle.
We believe that there is tremendous value in learning from leaders who are leaving their mark on this world. Who is your team looking to for inspiration?

At Drive 09, Lauren Espy led a breakout titled “The Worship Service Programming Model.” We recently sat down with Lauren and asked her to share with us some examples of this model in action. At Drive 2010, Andy is going to share the details of the grid that we use to evaluate our Sunday morning services.
Just in case you missed Lauren’s breakout at Drive 09, we have included the audio here.
